Well, who would have thought that our original plan of coming over here to buy an RV, travel for six months, sell it and return home would have turned out to be a continuing 3 year adventure (six months per stay). This last winter we spent six months up in Nova Scotia with the idea of buying a property in order to spend quality summers with our son and daughter-in-law. That didn't quite work out, partly with the £ falling about 30% whilst we were there.
The experience did reinforce the fact that we shouldn't travel north in the winter.
